Happy spring (if it ever arrives) from Bates! Here\u2019s a revised list of public events at the college for the period March 12\u201331, 2014.<\/p>\n

The public is invited to these events. Except as noted, admission is free.<\/p>\n

Updates in this edition<\/h3>\n

Stormy weather <\/strong>has affected two lectures scheduled for March 12. Thomas Tracy’s talk on creation and evolution will be rescheduled. Pavel Zoubok’s talk on the art of collage has been canceled.<\/p>\n

Two events <\/strong>have been added: the presentation\u00a0Comedy, Economics and Climate Change<\/em> by “standup economist” Yoram Bauman on March 20, and a March 27 Language Arts Live reading by acclaimed novelist Colson Whitehead.<\/p>\n

Finally, an incorrect time<\/strong> was published in the printed March at Bates<\/em> schedule for the March 29 Gospelaires concert. 3pm is the correct time.<\/p>\n
