Bates College held its 148th\u00a0Commencement<\/a>\u00a0on Sunday, May 25, on the\u00a0 Historic Quad.<\/p>\n

The college conferred honorary degrees on four leaders in the realms of journalism, computer science, business and the arts. The ceremony concluded with the graduation of 448 seniors, each of whom received a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree.<\/p>\n
