{"id":9722,"date":"2008-10-28T16:57:18","date_gmt":"2008-10-28T20:57:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bridge.batesmaine.net\/?p=9722"},"modified":"2017-11-03T14:28:54","modified_gmt":"2017-11-03T18:28:54","slug":"sulochanas-mainstage-production","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/news\/2008\/10\/28\/sulochanas-mainstage-production\/","title":{"rendered":"Sulochana&#039;s mainstage production"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>http:\/\/www.vimeo.com\/3762950<br \/>\nSulochana Dissanayake &#8217;09 of Pita Kotte, Sri Lanka, directed the Bates College theater department&#8217;s mainstage production of &#8220;A Lie of the Mind,&#8221; Sam Shepard&#8217;s realistic portrayal of two American families.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The play is universal in its dysfunctionality of families,&#8221; says Dissanayake. &#8220;We all know people like that. It&#8217;s just how some families behave.
