Hello, Bates families –

The chilly Maine forecast means it is a perfect time to mention Winter Carnival, a week-long series of Campus Life offerings. Please encourage your students to explore the wide range of programs happening Feb. 3-10, including cookie decorating, trivia, an acapella concert, and, of course, Puddle Jump.

Other items to share include:

• Purposeful Work offers services and programming for students throughout their time at Bates. If your student isn’t sure how to get started, point them to some of these activities or encourage them to make an appointment.
• For families whose students will be at Bates again next fall, the 2023-24 Academic Calendar (scroll down on the page) and 2023-2024 Residential Calendar have been released. And be sure to mark your calendar for Back to Bates: Family Weekend on Oct. 6-7, 2023!
• Class of 2023 families, we’ve started our Commencement Update emails. We suggest bookmarking the Commencement site as well.
