Thanks to your input, we are launching a series of<strong> Bates Family Networking virtual events for Spring 2021.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bates Family Networking<\/strong><br><strong>Guest: Nick Dressler, Campus Life<br>Thursday, February 18, 2021<br>7-8pm EST on Zoom<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is Campus Life? Guest Nick Dressler, Assistant Dean of Students for Campus Life, will share an overview of the work of the Campus Life team and the ways they are adapting to serve Bates students during COVID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, you\u2019ll <strong>meet other current Bates families<\/strong> through two interactive breakout sessions to connect you to others in your geographic area and in your student\u2019s class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration will open Feb. 5, so watch your email for registration details.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bates Family Networking<\/strong><br><strong>Supporting Your Bates First-Gen Student<br>March 2021<br>Date\/time TBD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A panel of students, alumni, faculty, and staff will offer perspectives on what it means to be a first-generation-to-college student at Bates. We will host small breakout sessions to help build connections among our first-gen families and to hear from you about what future programming would be of interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Offered in partnership with OIE\/Bobcat First! Registration will open mid-March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bates Family Networking<\/strong><br><strong>Guest: Allen Delong, Purposeful Work<br>Wednesday, April 14, 2021<br>7-8pm EDT on Zoom<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Center for Purposeful Work helps students discover the joy and power that arise from aligning who they are with what they do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guest Allen Delong, Senior Associate Dean and Director of the Center for Purposeful Work, will share an overview of the Purposeful Work offerings and offer perspective on the many resources available to students throughout their Bates career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, you\u2019ll <strong>meet other current Bates families<\/strong> through two interactive breakout sessions to connect you to others in your geographic area and in your student\u2019s class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration will open in early April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Would you like to be an event or breakout room host for our family networking events this spring or virtual Welcome Receptions for the Class of 2025 this summer?
