We wanted to share some updates with you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Yesterday, all Class of 2027 students received information about how to log into the college\u2019s Garnet Gateway. Please remind your student to <strong>check their Admission portal and take this critical step<\/strong>. Going forward, all summer forms, updates, and deadlines will be shared with students via the Garnet Gateway.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To view <strong>your student\u2019s bill<\/strong>, pay outstanding balances, and access any financial aid information, your student must grant you access to Garnet Gateway using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/financial-services\/costs-and-payment\/paying-your-bill\/granting-access-for-parents\/\">this process<\/a>. Only your student can provide this access to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arrival Day for first-year students is on <strong>Thursday, August 31<\/strong>. Fall student-athletes on the soccer, field hockey, cross country, and volleyball teams arrive <strong>Monday, August 21<\/strong>, and the football team arrives <strong>Tuesday, August 22.<\/strong> For international students, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/global-education\/international-student-orientation\/\">International Circle Orientation<\/a> will run from <strong>August 28-30<\/strong>. First-generation-to-college students who opt in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/bobcat-first\/\">Kessler Scholars Program<\/a> will have pre-orientation activities <strong>August 27-30<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Our team has an array of in-person and virtual welcome events planned for families. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/parents\/events-for-incoming-families\/\">Check the schedule here<\/a>!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We post all our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/parents\/email-updates-1\/#incoming-families\">incoming family email updates<\/a> online, and you can use the translation widget at the top of the page if you\u2019d like to read them in another language.
