This week, the First-Year Experience (FYE) team sent students <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/first-year-experience\/2025\/06\/17\/6-17-register-for-your-fall-2025-courses-academic-exploration-now-open-at-your-summer-resources-lyceum-page\/#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">information on the next Summer Resources Lyceum section<\/a>, <em><strong>Registering for Fall 2025 Courses: Exploring the Liberal Arts and Academic Opportunities<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fall Course Registration Timeline<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Now:<\/strong> Students can begin exploring academic options through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/first-year-experience\/summer-resources-lyceum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lyceum<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/dof\/files\/2025\/05\/FYS-Explorer-Fall-2025-smaller.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FYS Explorer tool<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>July 1:<\/strong> On or near this date, students will receive a message from their Summer Registration Consultant (a Bates staff or faculty member) to their Bates email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>July 2:<\/strong> For students interested in math or language courses, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/dof\/language-and-math-placement-tests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">placement tests<\/a> <strong>must be completed by Wednesday, July 2 at 5 p.m. Eastern<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>July 9\u201323:<\/strong> Course selection opens in Garnet Gateway on<strong> Wednesday, July 9 at 9 a.m. Eastern<\/strong>, and closes on<strong> Wednesday, July 23 at 4 p.m. Eastern<\/strong>. Please note that registration is NOT first come, first served.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>August 8:<\/strong> Final course schedules are released. Any changes to this schedule will need to be made during the Add\/Drop period after students arrive on campus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your student can access instructions through their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/first-year-experience\/summer-resources-lyceum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Summer Resources Lyceum page<\/a>, and can also review this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/registrar\/summer-registration-for-incoming-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">guide from the Registrar<\/a>. While registration isn\u2019t first come, first served, please encourage your Bobcat to review course registration materials and complete their selections and any placement tests on time. Now is also a great time to remind your student to check their Bates email regularly for all official updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Questions?
