As we look ahead to the start of the Winter 2026 semester, we\u2019re sharing a few timely updates to help you stay connected with campus and support your student as they return to Bates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Winter Semester Move-In:<\/strong>&nbsp;Residence halls will reopen for students from&nbsp;<strong>Sunday, January 11\u2013Tuesday, January 13,<\/strong>&nbsp;with Access Control open on&nbsp;<strong>Sunday, January 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/strong>&nbsp;to support arrivals. Winter semester classes begin on&nbsp;<strong>Wednesday, January 14<\/strong>.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/housing\/residential-calendar\/\">View the residential calendar \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Travel Planning:<\/strong>&nbsp;As students are returning to campus, this resource is helpful for planning transportation to and from campus.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/campus-safety\/getting-to-bates-faq\/\">Getting to Bates FAQ \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Add\/Drop Period:<\/strong>&nbsp;Students may adjust their Winter 2026 course schedule through&nbsp;<strong>Monday, January 27, at 11:59 p.m.<\/strong>&nbsp;Full details are available on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/registrar\/first-day-of-class-meeting-drop-policy\/\">Registrar\u2019s website \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stay Connected:<\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BatesNews<\/a>&nbsp;features regular updates on academics, student life, campus events, and community highlights.
