In case you missed it, check out a few of our favorite highlights in BatesNews\u2019 <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/news\/2026\/04\/08\/slideshow-this-month-at-bates-70\/\">This Month at Bates<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-lightgray-bg has-dark-color has-text-color\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong>End of Winter Semester:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Classes End: Friday, April 17<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Final Exams: Tuesday, April 21\u2013Monday, April 27<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>April Recess: Tuesday, April 28\u2013Sunday, May 3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Residences close on&nbsp;<strong>Tuesday, April 28 at 5 p.m.<\/strong>&nbsp;for students not staying for Short Term. Residences remain open through recess for students participating in Short Term.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/housing\/residential-calendar\/\">View the residential calendar \u2192<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Short Term Begins:&nbsp;<\/strong>Classes begin on&nbsp;<strong>Monday, May 4<\/strong>.
