MS in Atmospheric Science from the University of Wyoming      

BA in Physics with a concentration in Astronomy from Alfred University

Nicole Hastings is the lab instructor for the introductory sequence of physics courses (sequence for life sciences and physical sciences), as well as the lab instructor for the intro to astronomy course.  She is the director of the Ladd Planetarium, and manages the Stephens Observatory and department telescopes.

Nicole has worked as an observing assistant at the Stull Observatory in NY and as a researcher at NASA Goddard. Her graduate research focused on the quantifying the dynamics in cumulonimbus for climate models. In her spare time she likes reading about the chemistry and physics of coffee, hunting for atmospheric optics events, and studying Heliophysics.
