BA in Physics with a concentration in Astronomy from Alfred University<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cole Hastings is the lab instructor for the introductory sequence of physics courses (sequence for life sciences and physical sciences), as well as the lab instructor for the intro to astronomy course.\u00a0 They are the director of the Ladd Planetarium<\/a>, manage the <\/span>Stephens Observatory <\/a>, <\/span>and care for the department telescopes.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cole has worked as an observing assistant at the Stull Observatory in NY and as a researcher at NASA Goddard. Their graduate research focused on the quantifying the dynamics in cumulonimbus for climate models. In their spare time they study historical fencing, care for the livestock on their farm, and dedicate way too much time to playing RPGs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
