Welcome to the Bates Pollination Lab’s website! We study plant-pollinator interactions, focusing especially on how pollinator foraging behavior shapes plant ecology and evolution and, conversely, how plants manipulate pollinators’ behavior to improve their own fitness. We work both in the field and in the lab, and our research also provides scope for theoretical projects.
You can read stories about past projects and learn about some of the major projects we are working on now here. You can also read more about who we are, including subjects of past and current student research projects, here.
