{"id":749,"date":"2010-08-27T18:45:48","date_gmt":"2010-08-27T18:45:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hub-dev.bates.edu\/ras\/?page_id=749"},"modified":"2025-09-10T15:44:00","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T19:44:00","slug":"december-graduates","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/registrar\/academic-information\/december-graduates\/","title":{"rendered":"December Degree Completion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Students who plan on completing all graduation requirements by the end of the fall semester and do not plan to return for the winter semester or Short Term must complete the application for degree requirement completion below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdWTwgdgFvm8H-UQZdMgInFqpwteK2c8EI5BEyYybOsZi4iZg\/viewform?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=103001026329765439543\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdWTwgdgFvm8H-UQZdMgInFqpwteK2c8EI5BEyYybOsZi4iZg\/viewform?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=103001026329765439543\">Application for Degree Requirement Completion &#8211; December 2025<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note that students applying for degree completion in December will not be permitted to remain on campus in residence or as a student worker for the winter semester or short term and should not be billed for the winter semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bates confers degrees once a year, so while degree requirements will be confirmed as complete, <strong>students will not be graduated or receive a diploma until after Commencement in May<\/strong>. The Registrar&#8217;s office can provide a letter confirming completion of all degree requirements in the interim, upon request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are encouraged to participate in Commencement in May and should check Bates email regularly throughout the winter semester as the Registrar&#8217;s office formally confirms degree completion and finalizes names for diplomas.
