Aml’s priority is to support the creation of inclusive, diverse programming that resonates with students’ needs. As the interim coordinator of Campus Life programming, Aml supports and supervises Bates’ student-led programming board, Campus Activities and Traditions (CAT). Aml works to enhance the student experience by developing late night and weekend social programs and events. She also advises and supports student clubs and organizations. 

Aml Mohamed received a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College in International Youth Development (an individually designed major). During college she participated in a study abroad program themed Education in a Global Context that took place in Tanzania, India, China, Argentina, and France. Prior to that, she completed a two-year diploma program at the African Leadership Academy (ALA) based in South Africa. The program focused on entrepreneurship, leadership, and African Studies. In the future, Aml wants to initiate a youth development organization in her home country, Egypt and continue studying best practices to support youth.
