Carrie Murphey ’06
Assistant Dean of Students for First-Year Programs
A member of the Bates Class of 2006, Carrie Murphey handles programming for first-year students, including orientation and transition programs for all new students.
Carrie received a bachelor’s degree in American cultural studies from Bates. She taught middle school and worked in summer camp administration before returning to Bates from 2009 to 2011 as the Housing Coordinator and Residence Life Assistant. Carrie went on to earn a master’s degree in higher education administration and policy at Northwestern, and served as the Assistant Director of Class Programs in the University of Chicago’s College Programming Office before returning to Bates in 2015.
