Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Team Administrative Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of a varsity sport program and the coaching staff. Responsibilities include office work such as research, mailings, and clerical tasks. Other duties may include practice organization, equipment management, or game film. This position will report to the Head Coach of the assigned team and will work within the scope of the team’s administrative needs.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities


Ability to effectively communicate to student-athletes, coaches, and staff Punctuality, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines; Good oral and written communication skills Indoor and outdoor work required Flexible schedule Knowledge and experience of the relevant sport(s) is preferred but not required An interest and enthusiasm for coaching is preferred but not required

Assist with administrative tasks to support team operations Complete office work including research, mailings, data entry, filing, and other clerical tasks Assist with organizing team practices and events as assigned Assist with team equipment management or game/practice film as needed Complete scheduled tasks and necessary forms and reports Uphold the mission and values and be an active representative of the Department of Athletics Maintain a strong knowledge of and enforce all guidelines and procedures All other duties assigned as by the supervisor and other Athletics staff
