BCO: Project Assistant (S9616B)
Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities
The student Project Assistant will help the Communications Project Manager with a variety of administrative support tasks that will likely include proofreading, data entry in spreadsheets, fact checking, editing images in Photoshop, delivering proofs and documents to campus offices, and sometimes communicating by email with other administrative offices about ongoing communication (print, email and Web) projects.
The nature of the work requires great attention to detail and accuracy. The ideal candidate will be well versed in using Google docs, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop. Familiarity with Apple OS is important, as we use iMacs in the office.
The student Project Assistant will report to the Project Manager in the Bates Communications Office and may work closely with the BCO Office Coordinator and collaborate with a team of graphic designers.
