BCO: Visual Design Assistant (S9645B)

Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Visual Design Assistant will support the Bates Communications Office design team in developing various communications collateral, such as posters, brochures, and possibly some digital materials. S/he will work closely with the Senior Visual Designer as well as other team members in discussing goals for a particular project, participate in concept check-ins and feedback sessions (occasionally with campus clients), and work iteratively to design, refine, and finalize communications projects. 6-12 hours/week. Position duration through fall semester, with possible extension through winter semester and/or Short Term.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities


Candidate should have creative energy, comfort with and working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, and a willingness to collaborate with other team members and clients. S/he must possess strong communication and organization skills, and be able to commit to a set weekly schedule.
