BIO: Editorial Assistant (S9955C)

Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Editorial Assistant will work with the journal editor of the Journal of Mammalogy and the editorial associate to prepare manuscripts, collect information for, and organize the contents of issues (6 annually) of the Journal for publication.  S/he also will maintain records, collect information required for periodic reports by the editor to the American Society of Mammalogists (publisher of the Journal of Mammalogy), and perform other duties that contribute to the production of the Journal.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities


REQUIRED: EDUCATION: Junior or senior status in college EXPERIENCE: Biology or Environmental Studies major DESIRED: EDUCATION: Upper-division organismal biology course and a statistics course EXPERIENCE: Peer Writing Tutor and/or excellent writing skills
