To activate Direct Deposit, you must complete a Direct Deposit Authorization Agreement on&nbsp;<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/garnet-gateway\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Garnet Gateway<\/span><\/a>.&nbsp; Please watch the <a href=\"https:\/\/share.synthesia.io\/25c9a2b5-1d0c-4950-94d6-df490d87bb7f\">How to Update your Direct Deposit Information<\/a> training video for instructions on setting up your Direct Deposit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Bates transmits Direct Deposit two days before the scheduled pay date. Your bank will make your payment available on the actual pay date. Payroll will not take action on Direct Deposit failing to appear in your account until after 2:00 p.m. on payday, as it is likely that your bank has the money and has not yet made it available for withdrawal.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If you are a student and do not have a bank account, you can set up an account with TD Bank before you start working. Many students choose TD bank because there is a TD Bank ATM on campus. If you already have a bank account, please come prepared with the following information to arrange direct deposit:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bank name and street address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Routing number<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Account number<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students can review their Direct Deposit and earnings information on their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/garnet-gateway\/\">Garnet Gateway<\/a> account.
