The Bates College Student Employment Office (SEO) provides students with opportunities to enrich their experience by acquiring part-time positions on campus. Student employment is an excellent opportunity to learn valuable life skills. From checking out books in Ladd Library to lifeguarding in Merrill Gymnasium, any job teaches students critical professional skills. Students will gain interpersonal skills, teamwork, project management, and more that they can take with them after Bates into the professional setting.<\/p>\n

Students may log in to their account using their Bates email username and password. Students are encouraged to frequently look at the list of positions available on Handshake as it is updated whenever there are new job opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n **Handshake access for incoming students is granted by mid-August and does not have to be renewed.
