{"id":8614,"date":"2019-03-05T14:35:23","date_gmt":"2019-03-05T19:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/student-employment\/?page_id=8614"},"modified":"2025-11-07T10:18:58","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T15:18:58","slug":"setting-up-your-work-authorization","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/student-employment\/setting-up-your-work-authorization\/","title":{"rendered":"BWA Supervisor Verification"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After you have completed the <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/student-employment\/documentation-for-working\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Bates Work Authorization<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0(BWA) process and your employee record has been created, you will have access to your electronic BWA card on\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/banner.bates.edu\/?inst=ssbprod\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Garnet Gateway<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Students must have their BWA before starting to work in an on-campus position.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Students must&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/student-employment\/files\/2021\/09\/Work-Auth-Instructions.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">send their supervisor verification<\/span><\/strong><\/a><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;of their Bates Work Authorization<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. They can do this through&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/experience.elluciancloud.com\/bc178\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Garnet Gateway<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> by clicking on the Employees tab. In the Student Employee section, you will see your Bates Work Authorization.
