The Summit highlights undergraduate research; student creative work in art, dance, theater, music&nbsp;and film\/video;&nbsp;projects conducted in the context of academic courses; and community-engaged research. The Summit spotlights the rich intellectual life of&nbsp;our students.&nbsp;The event is sponsored by the Dean of the Faculty\u2019s Office and the Student Research Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This year\u2019s Mount David Summit will take place on Friday, 10 April, 2026<\/strong>.&nbsp;The Summit is festive and informative; It\u2019s a wonderful opportunity for first-years and sophomores to test their presentation skills in a supportive environment, and gives more advanced students the chance to present their individual research to a wide audience. The Summit illuminates the depth and expanse of scholarship among Bates students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Summit will feature concurrent presentations throughout the afternoon. Students may present their work in poster sessions, in 15-minute talks, and in readings, performances, screenings, and exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Events are scheduled to take place in person in Pettengill Hall and open to the Bates community as well as the general public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students!
