Performances of THE THANKSGIVING PLAY have been postponed by one week.<\/strong> All tickets have shifted by one week and are now valid for the same performance corresponding with the new dates (if you had an original ticket for Thursday November 2nd, you now have a ticket for Thursday November 9th).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you cannot make your new date or have any questions, please email us at theateranddance@bates.edu <\/a>or call our box office at 207-786-6161. We’ll get you squared away with a new ticket!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good intentions. Bad decisions. Great fun. In Larissa FastHorse\u2019s satirical comedy The Thanksgiving Play<\/em>, a troupe of really well-meaning theater artists dream of creating something revolutionary: a culturally sensitive, totally inoffensive Thanksgiving school pageant that finally gives a voice to Native Americans. Finding said Native Americans… isn\u2019t so simple. And that\u2019s when things start to get absurd. Sending up a whole feast of social issues, this bitingly funny play roasts everything right, wrong, and woke in America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
