Devised and Directed by Miguel \u00c1ngel Pacheco ’24<\/strong>
Inspired by El Pr\u00f3ximo Tren<\/em> by Alfredo Rosenbaum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you remember something that\u2019s lost? If we don’t retrieve these parts of ourselves can we become invisible or forgotten? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is it a part of ourselves that disappears or our whole being? Nomeacuerdo (or, how did i lose the cradle)<\/em>, is a devised theatre piece that intends to function as a laboratory to inquire, movement, losing and finding. To approach the concept of human migration and the meeting and missing of one\u2019s place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This laboratory intends to invite people from all sorts of disciplines and backgrounds for a physical creative process. It is a place to research and create together. The project is carried by Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance major Miguel \u00c1ngel Pacheco 24\u2019<\/strong> from Venezuela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admission to all Department of Theater and Dance events is free, but tickets are required. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What happened if we lost a part of ourselves when we move? How could you retrieve something, that has been lost, what is that journey? What was and what couldn\u2019t be, a part of ourselves missing, perhaps a wedding that brings the family together. To wait for that train, to hear and really listen the trains that passed, the parts of ourselves that left us already in that wagon. <\/p>\n

El Pr\u00f3ximo Tren is an intent of collective memory and dreaming workshopping. We take as a starting point El pr\u00f3ximo tren of Alfredo Rosenbaum to try to explore the reality of immigration and diasporic experience of movement in a piece of devising.
