experiment researching\u00a0Maine\u2019s primary bedrock, granite &#8211; how it was formed, it\u2019s mineral composition, how it invites a consideration of deep geologic time, and how it might act as a metaphor for the beauty that can result from moments of significant turbulence, friction, and heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This work has been developed through an IMStudio residency at the college
