Auditions are not required for admissions to Bates, but a resume and\/or short video of your performance work and other aspects of your creative output can give your application a boost, and is a good way to introduce yourself to our department. The Department of Theatre & Dance offers students several different options in how to become a Theater major (or minor).\u00a0 You might want to focus on a particular area such a\"\"<\/a>s acting, design, directing, playwriting or technical theater.\u00a0 You might want to pursue a theater or performance studies approach or you might even want to create your own path focusing on more than one area of theater.\u00a0 Our goal is to provide you with choices, assist in finding the right path for you and support you along your Bates journey.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
