Aerial models can also be used in 3D printing and virtual or mixed reality experiences. We maintain a small fleet of drones, including the DJI Mavic Pro and Phantom 2. Due to policy, legal, and liability issues, these drones are available to Bates faculty and students for research purposes only and can only be operated by licensed CRC staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Generative AI Imagery<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p> The VizLab has accounts with two popular image generators, DALLE and Midjourney, and can provide support and assistance for use towards academic projects. An example of this would be to create a texture map for a 3D model.
