Bates senior Matt Bettles was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2012-13 Men’s At-Large Team for NCAA Division III’s District 1, as announced Friday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Bates senior Rob Crampton, senior Matt Bettles and junior Timmy Berg all repeated as All-NESCAC men’s tennis honorees on Friday. It is the third straight year that all three men are receiving postseason honors from the conference.
For the second straight year, Bates College’s Rob Crampton will compete in the NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Singles Championship, and will team up with fellow senior Matt Bettles in the doubles championship, the NCAA announced Wednesday.
The fourth-seeded Bates men’s tennis team staved off a Wesleyan charge en route to a 5-3 victory over the fifth-seeded Cardinals in the first round of the 2013 NESCAC Championship on Friday.
