NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Bates College men's squash team defeated Vassar College 9-0 Friday night at Yale University to bump its record above .500 at 4-3.

Vassar dropped to 0-10 while struggling to an aggregate game score of 243-15. Junior Kush Mahan (Gainesville, Fla.) dropped only one game at the No. 1 position, as did junior Jordan Greenberg (Malvern, Pa.) at No. 3, sophomore Matt Marchisotto (New York, N.Y.) at No. 4, sophomore Nick Echeverria (Washington, D.C.) at No. 5, first-year Bobby Burns (Greenwich, Conn.) at No. 6, senior Marc Taggart (Skippack, Pa.) at No. 8 and senior Charlie Johnson (Atlanta, Ga.) at No. 9.

Bates plays at Wesleyan University tomorrow at 9:30 a.m., then faces St. Lawrence at Wesleyan at 12 p.m.
