General Information & Links for Thunderbird E-mail

Thunderbird is one of the supported e-mail programs at Bates College. Thunderbird compliments Information and Library Services desire to have the campus using a safe, secure, robust program capable of handling IMAP’d accounts.

Help Desk Services is pleased to assist all users with the installation, conversion from other e-mail programs, and other processes for making this your default e-mail application.

Users may apply upgrades to Thunderbird as the program prompts for them to be applied. Restarting the application may be necessary for the upgrade to be completed.
