What is the process for having a Network Port activated in my Residence Hall?

Network Ports are typically not automatically activated in a Residence Hall Rooms/Suites. If you would like to have a network port activated, please email the Bates College IT Help Desk (helpdesk@bates.edu) with the following information: 

  • Full Name
  • Contact Number
  • Bates Email Address
  • Residence Hall Name
  • Room Number
  • Port ID Number
    • Letters and Numbers Located on the Wall Plate
