Admission Counselor | he/him

Born and raised in Maine, Vincent grew up on the lake about 30 minutes away from Bates. Growing up he spent much of his time outside boating with his family and friends, hiking Maine’s peaks, or cross country skiing Maine’s extensive network of trails. This fostered his love of the outdoors and led him to pursue a degree in Ecology and Environmental Science with a concentration in Sustainability, Policy, and Natural Resource Management at the University of Maine. He spent his summers working for a local environmental non-profit, where his conservation efforts included removing invasive aquatic plants from endangered water bodies and restoring eroded shorelines. He would be remiss if he neglected to mention Bates’ sustainability efforts, including achieving carbon neutrality in 2019!

While on the UMaine campus, Vincent discovered his passion for higher education and college admissions while working as a tour guide and student ambassador. He also participated in Student Government, Class Council, and the Campus Activities Board. When his schedule wasn’t booked up by classes, work, or meetings, he spent time doing service projects with Alternative Breaks or helping grassroot campaigns get petition signatures on campus. Upon graduating in 2022, he worked as a recruiter for the University of Maine Graduate School, before moving on to Bates.

Beyond appreciating all that Maine’s wilderness has to offer, Vincent also enjoys listening to music, cooking (hopefully) good food, spending time with friends and family, attending concerts, and globetrotting. In 2023, he spent 2 months backpacking through Europe visiting Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. He hopes to return in the future and visit the places he missed; for now though, he is enjoying being stateside, living in “Vacationland”, and working at Bates!
