Admission Special Events

Summer Visit Day Schedule and Details

Bates Admission is excited to welcome you to campus for our special Summer Visit Days! At each event, you and your family and/or supporters will have an opportunity to take a closer look at Bates.

If you haven’t registered, Bates is offering three Summer Visit Days in 2026 on Friday, July 10Friday, July 24, or Friday, August 7 for you and your supporters to visit and experience our community.

On each Summer Visit Day you’ll find opportunities to…

  • take a tour with one of our informative student tour guides,
  • have a great lunch (and desserts) in our award-winning Dining Commons,
  • hear from current students and faculty about their experiences both inside and outside the classroom at Bates, and
  • enjoy summer in Maine and finish your day with frozen treats and camaraderie with a view of Lake Andrews (known affectionately as The Puddle).

The preliminary event schedule is listed below. The Admission team will continue to update this page with new information as we get closer to each event.
