Bates senior Taro Hagiwara, a political science major from Kawanishi, Japan, will give a piano recital at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

Bates College Chamber Singers to perform

Maine Gay Men's Chorus presents 'Christmas can be a DRAG!'

The Maine Gay Men's Chorus will present Christmas can be a DRAG! an evening holiday music to benefit the AIDS Coalition of Lewiston-Auburn, at 8 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Bates College Chapel. Conducted by Edward Reichert and accompanied by David Sherman, the Maine Gay Men's Chorus will perform traditional favorites, including "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "White Christmas" as well as non-traditional, whimsical songs such as "I'm Wishing You a Drag Queen Christmas" and "Coming Out on Christmas."

Bates College Concert Band to perform

Bach, Gustav Holst, W. Francis MacBeth, Jamie Texidor, Ralph Vaughn-Williams and John Wasson. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

Cuban musicians to perform

Androscoggin Valley Community Orchestra to perform family concert
