Love and Lamentation in the 17th Century, a program of classical music performed by Sally Sanford, soprano, and Catherine Liddell, lute and theorbo, will be presented at 8 p.m. March 25, in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall, 75 Russell St. The program includes "Songs of Darkness" by John Dowland, "Toccata" by Alessandro Piccinini, "Lamento della Madonna" by Claudio Monteverdi and "Amante Felice" by Giovanni Stefani. The public is invited to attend the annual Edith C. and Raymond L. Kendall Concert, and admission is free.

The Black Family Trio, a piano, violin and cello ensemble, will perform at noon on Oct. 21, in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall. DaPonte String Quartet to perform at Bates

The award-winning DaPonte String Quartet with guest soprano Christina Astrachan will perform in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall at 8 p.m. September 30. The program includes Schulhoff's "String Quartet," Schubert's "Salve Regina" and Mozart's "String Quartet in G Major, K. 387." After a brief intermission, Schoenberg's "String Quartet No. 2, Op. 10" will conclude the concert. Soprano Christina Astrachan will perform on the Schubert and Schoenberg pieces. The public is invited and admission is free.
