The Bates College Modern Dance Company, founded and directed by Marcy Plavin, lecturer in dance, will present Fusable Interfacing at 7:30 p.m. Saturday March 27, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28, in Schaeffer Theatre, 305 College St.

The Bates College Modern Dance Company, founded and directed by Marcy Plavin, lecturer in dance, will celebrate its 30-year anniversary with a concert performance, titled Slightly Hysterical (So, You Think This Has Been Easy?) at at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 20, in Schaeffer Theater, 305 College St. Admission is free, but no reservations are accepted. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Bates College Modern Dance Company, under the artistic direction of Marcy Plavin, will present its annual spring concert in a series of four concertsat 8 p.m. March 20 and March 22 (Program A) and at 8 p.m. March 21 and at 2 p.m. March 23 (Program B) in the Schaeffer Theatre, 305 College St.
Bates to host regional dance festival

Bates College will sponsor the 1997 New England Regional American College Dance Festival Friday, Jan. 17) through Sunday, Jan. 19. Certain festival performances will be open to the public at the cost of $10 for two concerts. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

The last year in the life of William Shakespeare is the subject of a dramatic play to be staged at Bates College on March 7, 8 and 9 at 8 p.m., and on March 10 at 2 p.m. in the Schaeffer Theatre. Tickets are $6.
