Virtual Admission & Financial Aid Information Sessions

Bates offers live virtual information sessions to provide greater insight on our campus, community, and holistic admission process. Register by clicking the red button above.

For an on-demand experience, we invite you to watch our recorded information session.

Bobcat Chats: Student Panels

Bates offers live panels of current students who will discuss all facets of the student experience and be available to answer your questions. No admission staff members are present, as this is meant to be a casual opportunity to connect in real time with students. We encourage you to come with plenty of questions and curiosity!

Bobcat Chats are themed on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm (EDT)!

Virtual & In-person Alumni Conversations

An Alumni Conversation is an opportunity to connect one-on-one with a Bates community member, and to ask the deeper and specific questions that will help you determine if Bates aligns with your interests and aspirations. You can indicate your preference for a virtual or in-person conversation. Conversations are not interviews, and they are both optional and informational meaning you are not being evaluated.

The time has passed to request an alumni conversation for this cycle’s first-year and transfer applicants. This process will open back up to high school seniors and transfer applicants in the fall of 2024.

Other Opportunities

There are other opportunities to get to know Bates. Request information, reach out to your regional admission representative, or connect with a current student. You may also register for an in-person campus visit. As always, we look forward to connecting with you as you explore Bates!

We want to ensure that experiences with Bates are inclusive for all. If you anticipate a barrier or need to request an accommodation, please contact the Office of Admission at (207) 786-6000 or admission@bates.edu. To allow for appropriate arrangements, please contact us one week prior to your scheduled event, when possible.
