"Still Alice" author Lisa Genova

The WCSH-TV news magazine 207 features Lisa Genova ’92, author of Still Alice, the novel about a Harvard professor succumbing to early-onset Alzheimer’s that became a surprise best-seller in January 2009. She tells host Rob Caldwell that the response from the Alzheimer’s community has been “humbling. It’s been an honor to participate.” She explains that the Alzheimer’s Association is using the book as a resource for how to live with the disease. “For people who aren’t at the end stage, this book gives them a face and a voice.” Genova, who lives on Cape Cod, also spoke at Bates on May 20.
