Thursday September 10, 2009 4:08 pm	Global Lens series opens with Getting Home “Getting Home” from Chinese director Zhang Yang opens the Global Lens Series of films from around the world at Bates College with 8 p.m. showings on Friday, Sept. 11, and Sunday, Sept. 13, in Room 105 of the Olin Arts Center, 75 Russell St.
Tuesday February 5, 2002 3:43 pm	Central Asian movie critic to screen and discuss Kyrgyzstan film Gulnara Abikeyeva, a Kazakh film critic and Fulbright Scholar, will introduce the award-winning movie Beshkempir (Adopted Son) by director Aktan Abdykalykov at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in Room G52 (the Keck Classroom) of Pettengill Hall, 4 Andrews Road. The public is invited to attend the 82-minute screening, followed by a discussion led by Abikeyeva, free of charge. Refreshments will be served.
