College Republicans sponsor post-Address analysis

The Bates community is invited to the Frye Street Union lounge 8:45 p.m. Tuesday to watch President George W. Bush deliver his State of the Union Address and follow it with an informal discussion led by Professor of History Steve Hochstadt.

Bates panel offers Perspectives on the Middle East Conflict

Three panelists will present a discussion titled “Perspectives on the Middle East Conflict,” followed by a question-and-answer period, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in the Benjamin Mays Center, 95 Russell Street. The public is invited to attend this event, sponsored by Bates Hillel and cosponsored by the Bates Democrats, free of charge.

Holocaust conference to be held at Bates

A three-day conference linking Maine scholars, school teachers, concentration camp survivors and students, will examine the Holocaust of European Jewry from Feb. 28 through March 2 at Bates College.
