About
2020 – B.S. Biochemistry and Biology, Gannon University
2026 – Ph.D. Biochemistry, Indiana University Bloomington
Hi! My name is Morgan Nyman, and I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry here at Bates. I am a structural biochemist whose research experience thus far has broadly focused on the development of small-molecule inhibitors for the treatment of epithelial-derived carcinomas, with an emphasis on enzymology and structural biochemistry. My teaching interests center on biochemistry, protein structure and function, enzyme kinetics, molecular interactions, and the experimental techniques used to investigate biological questions. Outside of research and teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors, crafting, shopping at local stores, and spending time with my dogs.
