Paul Schofield

Associate Professor of Philosophy Paul Schofield, whose research focuses on moral and political philosophy, wrote for the latest issue of Jacobin, a quarterly magazine that offers “socialist perspectives on politics, economics, and culture.” Schofield’s analysis looks at the current homelessness crisis, the idea of — and historical perspective on — involuntary hospitalization, which is once again being offered as a solution in some quarters after being roundly rejected by both the left and the right 40 years ago.
