Student Volunteers for Lewiston Auburn Vaccine Clinic

Our partners at Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) need volunteers to help staff the Lewiston Auburn mass vaccination clinic. We recognize students are already volunteering with the St. Mary’s vaccination clinics and other valuable organizations that also need our help – many thanks to those who continue to support these important efforts.

Shifts are 6 hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Shifts are 7:15am-1:30pm and 1pm-7pm.

The various roles CMMC is seeking volunteers to fill are:

The process is as follows:

  • Fill out the Harward Center Webform consistent with all current community engagement.
  • Sign the “Memo of Understanding” (MOU) that will be sent to you for electronic signature once your webform is approved.
  • Fill out the CMMC Application form. Printed copies are also available in Commons.
  • Drop off your completed CMMC application in the Dining offices in Commons (Commons 117) or in the mail slot of 216 Lane, or scan and email your application to treasurer@bates.edu

Volunteers will sign up for specific shifts after applications are completed. All applicants will have a basic background check performed per CMMC requirements for volunteers; this will happen automatically once your application process is complete.

Clinic volunteers with regular service have been identified by the Maine CDC as eligible to receive the vaccine under specific conditions as outlined in both state and Central Maine Healthcare policies. However, volunteers are not required to be vaccinated before they begin service. If doses are available at the end of a clinic, interested volunteers will be invited to register for vaccination at that clinic, in order of their age.

Many thanks for all you do for Bates and for our community.
