Replacement costs are fully refundable upon return of items.

Books, DVDs and CDs are billed $75 each; Chromebooks are $300, Green Bikes are $150.

May 14: All students will be billed replacement costs for all overdue Winter’23 materials checked out, including CBB and MaineCat items.

May 22: All seniors will be billed replacement costs for all materials checked out, including CBB and MaineCat items.

May 25: All students will be billed replacement costs for all overdue Short Term ’23 materials checked out, including CBB and MaineCat items.

Replacement cost will be refunded in full for each item returned, unless damaged or otherwise unusable or the college has already purchased a replacement for the collection (either ebook or physical).

We can credit graduating seniors for any return until June 30.

We can credit rising classes until you graduate. If you find our library materials, return them to the library at any point.

Ladd will be open. We will check in your returns and process any credits right through the big day!

• We are open 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday during the summer.

• The first returns drop box is located at the front entrance, inside the exterior set of doors, in the glass wall to the left of the doors – accessible from both inside the vestibule or inside the building.
• The second returns drop box is located outside at our shipping/receiving door (facing Hedge and Roger Williams). It’s a huge black book drop which somehow manages to visually disappear.
• Chromebooks and Green Bike keys may be returned in the media slot of the drop boxes if the building is closed.

Materials can be returned to the library by library or media mail.

• Empty your locker of ALL contents.
• Leave the lock locked on the locker.
• Stop by the Circulation Desk in Ladd Library, tell us you’re done with your locker. We’ll check it in for you.

But I need more time!?!? We can renew it for you until Commencement.

Ladd Library does not close for the summer break.

The book loan period for students is 28 days. Rising seniors have 150 day loan period for CBB materials. (Class of 2024 will be rolled into the senior loan period privileges mid-June.)

You have to keep track of your due dates and renew them every month during the summer just like you do during the academic year.
