Frederic Kent Auwarter ’60

Frederic Kent Auwarter died Aug. 24, 2022 in Portland, Maine.

He grew up in Wayne, N.J. He traveled to Washington state two summers with Pete Skelley ’60, working as laborers in a cannery and on wheat fields. During the summer of 1960 they handled transportation for the “Zerby Tour” throughout Europe. For many years Fred worked for Buxton Corp. and lived in Atlanta, eventually retiring to Maine. Fred is survived by his wife, Jane; three daughters, Jacqueline, Elizabeth, and Jennifer; and numerous nephews and nieces and grandchildren.
