The Office of College Advancement will sponsor an April 1 debate by the  Brooks Quimby Debate Society on the issue of campus political diversity. The question to be debated reads: “Do Liberal Arts Institutions Inappropriately Marginalize the Right?”

Open to the public, the parliamentary debate begins at 8 p.m. in the Edmund S. Muskie Archives, Campus Avenue. Members of the audience will be allowed to ask questions during the speeches as “points of information.” After the first four speeches there will be an opportunity for audience floor speeches of approximately one minute.  Refreshments including chai and cookies will be served.
