As bleary-eyed seniors slowly arrived at Alumni Walk on Commencement morning, Bates multimedia producer Theophil Syslo was there, inviting them to pose for slow-motion video portraits.
Slow no more! They stepped right up, exhibiting unfiltered excitement and pride as they posed, individually and with friends, in front of a backdrop set up on Alumni Walk.
The setting creates “a frame within a frame,” Syslo says. “It’s kind of like preparing a small stage for a performance and a fun way to engage with students for one last moment before they move on with their journey.”
