show map As most political experts agree that the presidential contest in 2024 is likely to be decided by seven swing states, there is an enhanced risk that disinformation may play an important role in deciding the winner in such a close contest. This presentation will track the evolution of political conspiracy theories and disinformation campaigns, review the ways disinformation influences voters and swings elections, and assess the likelihood that the latest campaign season will be threatened by purposeful misinformation.
