AVC S29: Architectural Visualization – Past and Future

Students worked in groups to reproduce historic architecture from around the world as 3D-printable and laser-cut models during this intensive Short Term course. Despite most students having no prior 3D design experience, they were able to learn how to use Tinkercad, and later pushed it to its limits to create complex multi-section models.

BIO 310: Bioinspiration

Students iterated biology-inspired designs. Examples shown include gloves inspired by penguin tongues and acoustic phone amplifiers inspired by the hyoid bone of a howler monkey.

HIST 295: Montezuma’s Mexico – Aztecs and their World

Support for this class included printing a large Aztec calendar, small models of the ancient city of Tenochtitlan, and assisting student projects.
